Love Island USAseason 7 sweetheartChelley Bissainthe’s recent actions have me seeing her in a new light, and I’m starting to wonder if she’s the true instigator of the villa’s biggest drama. Chelley, a 27-year-old day trader, lived in Orlando, Florida before her modeling career brought her to New York City. As an original season 7 cast member, Chelley’s cool and casual style made her one of my favorites from day one.
Upon entering the villa, Chelley was surprised to seeAce Greeneas a fellow islander. Chelley and Ace had met prior toLove Island USAand followed each other on social media. Although the pair began the season with other partners, their mutual attraction kept bringing them back together, and they became a couple midway through the season.
Chelley Backed Up Ace’s Shady Behavior
She Stayed Silent While He Disrespected Amaya
Although Chelley has been a longtimeLove Island USAfan favorite,Ace hasn’t been received as favorably. After being single in the season’s early days, Ace coupled with Amaya Espinal, but the two clashed immediately. Ace acted repulsed by Amaya’s affectionate mannerisms, which he shamed her for while demanding space.
While the other couples worked dutifully to build a connection, Ace’s treatment of Amaya was unnecessarily harsh. He refused to even share a bed with her. Throughout all this, Chelley sat silent, despite being Ace’s closest friend and eventual partner. Ace’s attempts to alienate Amaya continued long after their coupling ended, and Chelley’s failure to defend Amaya tells me she’s not the girl’s girl she claims to be.
Ace and Chelley’s relationship beforeLove Island USAalready made me suspicious of their agenda.
Ace assumed the role of the villa’s leader, and his actions were calculating and manipulative.
Although I’ve always respected Chelley, I’m now second-guessing her and wondering if she, too, was manipulating the cast behind the scenes.
Chelley Tried To Claim Both Ace And Chris
Her Jealousy’s Getting The Best Of Her
During Casa Amor, Chelley formed a connection with Chris Seeley, a professional basketball player. Although she and Ace ultimately reunited, Chelley continued to explore with Chris, who went on to couple with Huda Mustafa.
Chelley alleged that Huda stole Chris from her, which made no sense to me since she chose to reunite with Ace. Chris also confirmed that Huda had encouraged him to continue exploring with Chelley. It was Chelley and Ace’s relationship thatdrove Chris back to Huda, which Chelley only has herself to blame for.
Chelley also went after Huda for getting too close to Ace during a steamy challenge. However, Chelley and Ace were still open, and they hadn’t set any boundaries. I thought her attempt to fault Huda for interfering in her relationships with both Ace and Chris was ridiculous, considering these explorations are the whole point ofLove Island USA.
Chelley’s Girl Code Is Hypocritical
She Weaponized Her Friendships
Chelley accused Huda of breaking girl code, but I’m convincedChelley is the bigger offender.She failed to condemn Ace for his behavior towards Amaya, and her attack on Huda proved she was never a girl’s girl. Chelley refused Huda’s attempts to talk until the stand on business challenge, when she unleashed her fury in front of the entire group.
Chelley accused Huda of not giving her loyalty and respect, but without closing off her relationship with Ace, Huda didn’t owe her anything. If Chelley was so hurt, she should have spoken with Huda immediately instead of publicly belittling her. Her decision to claim both Ace and Chris while guilting Huda for exploring showed me that Chelley’s the real villain ofLove Island USAseason 7.
