Daredevil: Born Againseason 2 doesn’t have a release date yet, but there are already story details being confirmed. But in addition to Matt Murdock’s old familiar friends, there are some fresh faces in the MCU’sBorn Againthat have sparked similar levels of excitement. Namely, Hector Ayala as the White Tiger, and hisheir to the mantle, Angela del Toro.
In the comics, Hector may be one of the original White Tiger characters, but his story usually ends in tragedy, with the character meeting his end in a brutal and violent way, similar to what is seen inDaredevil: Born Againseason 1. And since that arc is so central to the story of White Tiger, there was a lot of speculation that either Hector’s sister, Ava Ayala, or his niece,Angela del Toro, would be the next in lineto inherit the mantle, and take the character forward into the MCU.

After Angela del Toro appeared inDaredevil: Born Againseason 1, it was all but confirmed that Marvel Studios was taking the character forward with this actress, Camila Rodriguez, in the hot seat. And now, as the show is being filmed, there has been confirmation that the actress was seen filming in a White Tiger suit at night on X (viaThe Direct). Clearly,Angela’s story in the MCU is just beginning, and things are about to get a lot more interesting for the character inDaredevil: Born Againseason 2.
From mourning the loss of her Uncle, Angela has either chosen to take on the mantle already aware of what the family secret was, or she has managed to uncover the truth about her Uncle’s double life, and chosen to stand up for those that can’t fend for themselves, just as he did. Angela may be young, butshe will make a great ally to Daredevilin his fight against Fisk, and may even help the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen to keep his focus on what’s important, the people he is fighting to protect.

The Heroes Are Teaming Up In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
When Angela appeared in the first season, she came in extremely emotional, and intense in her fervent beliefs. Admittedly, Angela was right, and the law enforcement in the city was corrupt, and getting worse under Fisk. While she sought help from Matt Murdock, the lawyer, Matt was unable to make the system pay for the injustices taken against people like Hector Ayala. However, this also tipped him over the edge andconvinced him to become Daredevil again, which paved the way for him stopping Muse, and saving Angela and his girlfriend.
Angela doesn’t yet know how much of an impact she has had on Murdock, and their forming a friendship in season 2 as they both fight for the same goal will be a sweet development for the normally reclusive Matt. Likewise, seeing the birth of a new hero, especially one as cool as White Tiger, is an exciting prospect for the MCU, and one that could see this character expand into various other roles, like joining The Young Avengers after winning the fight againstFisk inDaredevil: Born Againseason 2.
