While the first season of the show made it clear that the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders were an elite group who deserved attention and recognition, the second season blows everything out of the water and brings all-new hopefuls into the mix. Though I imagined thatAmerica’s Sweetheartsseason 1was going to be the only season of the series, when I heard about the second season, I thought it was an interesting idea. Throughout the first season of the series, I was impressed with the way the show moved. Visually telling the story of the storied Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders expansive history while, at the same time, focusing on the current class of DCC candidates, it was clear that the show’s team had a knack for weaving stories together in a way that felt meaningful.America’s Sweetheartsneeds to continue sharing stories.

There Are So Many Different Cheerleaders In The Mix
One of the most interesting parts ofAmerica’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaderscomes from the fact that there are performers coming to try out for the team from every walk of life. Withdancers from all over the world coming to try out for the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, it’s always fascinating to see who comes to the auditions, who makes it past the final round, and who gets through training camp. On top of that, seeing different styles of dance, different backgrounds, different personalities, and different ways of problem solving are always going to help move a show along.
Throughout thefirst two seasons ofAmerica’s Sweethearts, I’ve seen so many people who aren’t like any others I’ve met before. From dancers who double as dentists and doctors to people who pick up their whole lives and move to Dallas in order to train for an NFL cheerleading team, seeing the way other people live their lives is the whole point of reality TV.America’s Sweetheartshighlights the diverse group of cheerleadersthat make up the DCC, and I think that makes the show deserving of at least another exciting season, if not many, many more in the future.

The Show Is Rooted In Reality
Although there’s surely drama within the team and surrounding it,America’s Sweetheartsmakes it a point to create high-stakes stories without the high intensity dramathat some other reality TV shows relish in. While there’s always drama to be seen,America’s Sweethearts does well making sure that drama isn’t the focal point of everything. Stories are presented in a way that makes them interesting, but not melodramatic, allowing viewers to immerse themselves inthe world of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. While I love a high drama show, I think America’s Sweethearts does a great job keeping things interesting, but light.
One of the most important aspects of the series to me has to be the fact that the team is so supportive of one another, which honestly negates a lot of the drama that could pop up each episode. Rather than dwelling on issues or making things more difficult than they have to be,the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader candidatesoften understand that they’re in a position of privilege. Getting to audition and possibly perform in one of the most famous, iconic NFL cheerleading teams shouldn’t be weighed down by drama.America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleadersneeds to keep exploring soon.
