In aJeopardy!Reddit thread, fans lamented the especially easy Final Jeopardy! (FJ) clue. The category was"Cars & The Movies,“and the question read,“A fake speedometer was used in this make of car from a 1980s movie, since the actual car’s speedometer didn’t go high enough.“The answer was,“What is a DeLorean?,“because the question referred to the car from the film,Back to the Future, which only went 85 mph instead of 88 mph like in the film. All three contestants answered the question correctly.
After the episode aired, oneJeopardy!fan wrote,“FJ was way too easy,“while another agreed,“Seriously. That was a $100 or $200 question.“Another viewer said,“Really absurd, too easy even for Celebrity,“while another stated,“Yeah, it was an insta-get even before finishing reading the Q.”
However, a fewJeopardy!fans weren’t bothered by the clue. One wrote,“Eh, I’m okay with an easyish FJ to balance out that brutal [Double Jeopardy!] DJ board.“Another admitted that they didn’t know the answer to the question at first, saying,“Eh, my mind first went to the Dodge Charger from Dukes of Hazzard (yes, I know wrong time period) before coming up with the DeLorean.”

I enjoy seeing a Final Jeopardy! question about film now and then because I believe that knowing about pop culture is part of being a well-rounded person. I also know that there are manyJeopardy!viewers who are experts in the more intellectual categories, but who might not know a lot about popular movies, so those questions would be challenging for them.
