Last month, Square Enix unveiled new information regarding future releases in theKingdom Heartsseries through itsKingdom Hearts2020 trailer. One of those announcements claimed theKingdom Hearts 3soundtrack would release later this year. At the time, Square Enix didn’t give a specific date, but fans now know when they can listen to the music from the game.
Any interestedKingdom Heartsfans should mark their calendars for July 05, 2025, when the soundtrack will release worldwide. Both the digital and physical versions come out on the same day, so those with a preference won’t have to wait longer than others to get a copy.

TheKingdom Hearts3 soundtrack will consist of eight discs and feature 160 songs fromKingdom Hearts 3and a few other recent entries in the series. The announcement specifically calls out the music fromKingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue,Kingdom Hearts Union X, and theKingdom Hearts 3 Re: MindDLC.
According to Square Enix, theKingdom Hearts 3soundtrack will cost 12,000 yen, which translates to roughly $115 before tax. Fans should be used to paying premium prices on JRPG merchandise, though, especially considering theFinal Fantasy 7watchesthat Square sold for over $2,000.
TheKingdom Hearts 3soundtrack has a pre-order option for anyone who wants to grab a copy as soon as it releases. The retailers participating in the pre-order include the Square Enix e-STORE, Sony Music Shop, Amazon.co.jp, Tower Records, Yodobashi.com, HMV&BOOKs online, and Rakuten Books.
TheKingdom Hearts 3soundtrackwill mark the longest amount of time it has taken for a soundtrack to release for a coreKingdom Heartsgame.Kingdom Hearts 1’ssoundtrack actually released a day before the game came out, and theKingdom Hearts 2soundtrack released a month after the game launched.Kingdom Hearts 3’s soundtrack will be coming nearly two years after the core game. Although, in its defense, it’s nearly four times bigger than both albums.
It’s also worth noting that theKingdom Hearts 3soundtrack arrives within the samerelease frame asKingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, the very first rhyme-basedKingdom Heartsgame. It’s not likely, but maybe the album’s release date hints at whenMelody of Memorywill come out.
