Following the highly-anticipated announcement ofLife is Strange: True Colors, singer-songwriter and Twitch streamer mxmtoon, also known by her first name Maia, will be joining the cast as Alex Chen’s in-game singing voice.

A couple weeks back, rumors surrounding the third installment in the mainLife is Strangeseries began circulating. Now, with the Square Enix Presents showcase earlier today, it looks like the rumors were dead-on. The game will prominently feature Alex, an Asian-American woman returning to her hometown in the midwestern town of Haven Springs. The story will largely encompass Alex as she struggles with the loss of her brother Gabe, but along with her psychic power referred to as empathy, Alex is also an experienced musician, detailed in thetrailers and in-depth look ofLife is Strange:True Colors.

During the showcase, mxmtoon appeared to announce that she will be voicing Alex’s singing voice inLife is Strange: True Colorsalongside Alex’s main voice actress, Ericka Mori. Square Enix also previewed Maia as Alex’s singing voice with a cover of “Creep” by Radiohead, not unlikeTheLast of Us 2’s coverof the same song.

While mxmtoon is most commonly known as a musician and singer, she also often streams gaming on Twitch, such as her recentLittle Nightmares 2series. In the Square Enix showcase, Maia also says that she’s a “huge"Life is Strangefan. Perhaps she plans to stream the game on her Twitch channel.

As a talented musician,Life is Strange: True Colorsplayers can hopefully expect mxmtoon to be featured in several songs onLife is Strange: True Color’s soundtrack, which will likely follow in the stunning reputation of theLife is Strangeseries.
