Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, known for her past (and present) as a rogue archaeologist with a penchant for trouble, has been an enemy and an ally to both the Empire and the Rebellion. InAgent of Chaos#1,Aphra finds herself in a new sticky situation after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic.Right off the bat,Aphra is sentenced to supervised releasefollowing a litany of crimes and charges, including burglary, forgery, bribery, and impersonating a New Republic officer (multiple times).

Aphra is sentenced to probation and tasked with retrieving valuable artifacts stolen during Imperial rule. This sets the stage for a team-up with Luke Skywalker, whom she refers to by the affectionate nickname “farm boy.“When the two are deep undercover, she introduces him by the alias “Barm Foy.”This phonetic reversal (known as a “spoonerism”) is a humorous and self-aware moment within the comic, almost as if the creative team is winking at the audience and acknowledging the straightforwardness of some of Lucas’ more colorful names, which tend to be a simple rearranging of common phrases.

The aquatic squid-like species to which Admiral Ackbar belongs are called Mon Calamari.Han Solois quite literally a solo adventurer.Perhaps one of the more outlandish and comical character names is “Therm Scissorpunch” fromSolo: A Star Wars Story; a lobster-like sentient clearly in reference to the French meal of lobster thermidor and sharp claws that, as the name suggests, punch. Other honorable mentions for Lucas’ naming skills include Grievous, Sidious, Greedo, and Maul.
