On Twitter, theMadden NFL 21account shared a short video showing new Patriots QB Cam Newton doing his famous Superman pose in a Patriots uniform. The Superman is one of Newton’s many extravagant touchdown celebrations and sees him pretend to rip open his football jersey, the way that Clark Kent rips open his shirt to reveal his Superman outfit underneath. However, some fans have pointed out that the animation is a little off as in real life Newton brings his fist to his chests at the same time but in the video, it’s done one after the other.

Madden NFL 21’s version of Newton’s Superman celebration isn’t the only thing that fans are upset about today. After a post revealed a paltry number ofupdates forMadden NFL 21’s Franchise mode, fans were outraged and called for the development team to offer them more. Some have compared it patch notes while others are wondering how EA can justify releasing an entirely new game with this content.

A common criticism of sports games is that they offer little more thanroster updates and different player statseach year and it seems like that’s what many fans are saying aboutMadden NFL 21. There’s some time before the game is out and more content will be announced, but it seems unlikely that it will be enough to satisfy most fans on social media.

Madden NFL 21will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 28th, with PlayStation 5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X releases planned for later in the year.
