In an exclusive interview withScreenRant’sown Ash Crossan, Ehrenreich addressed what he hopes to see next for Zeke, given the cliffhanger that leaves Riri and him with unfinished business. While not knowing when it may happen, Ehrenreich stressed that he hopes forIronheartshowrunner, Chinaka Hodge, to be the one to continue this arc for the two MCU characters, sharing the following:

That’s right. I think it’s really interesting. The thing that I hope is really for Chinaka, who is really the leader of all this, to continue that vision that she has. I just think she found a way to make these characters both really fun and also feel personal and interesting. I love that about it — that it has different ways it can go and it has this depth.

What Alden Ehrenreich’s Comments About Zeke Stane’s MCU Future Mean

Given howIronheartseason 1 ends, there are definitely many directions for the MCU to take Zeke now that he is a rival for Riri. However, whether Hodge will be the one to expand their storyline after 2025 remains to be seen, since a season 2 isn’t guaranteed.

TheIronheartTV showwas made prior to the restructuring at Marvel Television, where they are now focused on making more traditional TV series that can run for multiple seasons. It’s possible that Marvel Television and Hodge may have had or will have discussions about howIronheartseason 2 could be executed.

If that’s the case,Ehrenreich’s hope of getting to see what Hodge has planned for Riri and Zeke will come to fruition, although it wouldn’t be shocking if some things get retooled, to fit the multiple-season format. However, even ifIronheartseason 2 happens, it may be some time until it releases on Disney+.
