TheEyes of Wakandatrailer reveals Marvel’s long-awaitedBlack Pantherspinoff. Created by Todd Harris, who also serves as the showrunner and director, the upcoming Disney+ animated anthology series will explore the history of Wakanda through the eyes of the Hatut Zaraze, a group of elite warriors who carry out dangerous missions around the world to retrieve vibranium artifacts.
The limited series stars an ensemble cast that includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose. The animated series was first announced in March 2023, and now, the first trailer has finally been revealed.

Today,Marvel Entertainmentreleased thefirst official trailer forEyes of Wakanda,introducing the Hatut Zaraze, a group of elite Wakandan warriors who embark on perilous missions across the globe to reclaim vibranium relics throughout history.
A few of those characters include a Noni, a disgraced former member ofthe Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female special forces, and the Lion, a former Wakandan general who became a pirate after stealing advanced technology from the nation, aiming to establish a brutal regime of his own called the “Lion Kingdom.” Watch the trailer below:

It Explores The History of Wakanda
Eyes of Wakandawill explore the history of the nation by showcasing its different eras through the perspectives of its warriors, the Hatut Zaraze. In an interview withEmpire,creator Todd Harris says the series is about"how Wakandans intersected through history — those futuristic, Star Trek-level Africans who bounce through time."
This includes a seafaring group modeled after actual Bronze Age tribes, a concept proposed personally by Ryan Coogler, who directed the twoBlack Panthermoviesand acts as an executive producer onEyes of Wakanda. Harris explains, “They were raiders who robbed their way through the Mediterranean, which gave us an open [book] in terms of creating a world based on very vague but dramatic circumstances.”
Although the true promise ofEyes of Wakandalies in introducing fans to a wide range of new heroes from across history, Harris hints thatsome familiar characters might also make an appearance in the series, “There’s definitely going to be some familiarity,” he promises.
