The Encounters Mod, a GRiNDTerraverse PPG Stand-Alone Expansion that was previously presented through a sneak peek onReddit, willallow players to stumble upon things they’ve “never seen before” in an effort to make random exploration more unique. This unique mod is available as of today and can be found on bothNexus ModsandBethesda Creations.

What This Mod Changes In Starfield

As the name suggests,GRiNDTerra_Mods' Encounters mod is designed to reward players for their innate desire to explore the vast worldStarfieldhas presented to them. As opposed to randomized nature elements that don’t particularly motivate you to venture off the beaten path and see what’s out there, the Encounters mod will present you with mysterious finds and unique items that you wouldn’t traditionally stumble upon.
TheEncounters mod is available for both PC and Xbox playersto download and enjoy. However, keep in mind that while loading in some of the larger encounters included as part of thiselaborateStarfieldmod, you may experience brief dips in performance that should resolve quickly. As with all mods,players are advised to back up their save file before installing, especially since GRiNDTerra_Mods has shared that some of the encounters were “designed to attempt to murder you” and are of a higher difficulty.

For those who may not already know,GRiNDTerra_Mods, also known under the username ItsmePaulieB on Nexus Mods and Bethesda Creations, is a recognizable legend among theStarfieldmodding community. Aside from their latest release, they have produced several mods that have continued to improve the overall Starfield player experience and provided a reason for players to keep coming back again and again.
Some of their most notable mods include Biomes, Places of Intrigue, and Planetary Procedural Generation. Biomes adds roughly 50 new biomes for players to explore in place of boring and barren planet environments, Places of Intrigue adds 26 new POI to the natural pool, and Planetary Procedural Generation changes the way planets and creatures are typically generated.
This mod does not require the use of any other GRiNDTerra_Mods, but is compatible with them.
