I was already excited forFalloutseason 2, but now that I’ve seen images of the New Vegas sets, I simply can’t wait for more of Prime Video’s video game adaptation. Prime Video’sFalloutwas a massive hit as soon as it arrived on the streaming platform, bringing in dedicated video game fans and new viewers of the novel franchise. Naturally, Prime Video quickly confirmed thatFalloutseason 2was in production, and the new season is getting closer every day. There’s a lot to look forward to inFalloutseason 2, but there’s a new piece of info that makes me incredibly excited.
While theFalloutshow did make some major changes to the games- from destroying Shady Sands to revealing thereal origins ofFallout’s nuclear apocalypse- it was also fairly faithful to them. Items like Stimpaks and RadAway were almost taken straight from the game and put into live-action, and it’s clear that the creators of theFalloutshow had a deep love and appreciation for the games. Now, a new update aboutFalloutseason 2 shows that the series is only going to be more faithful toFallout: New Vegas. It’s also made me even more excited for the show to continue, which I didn’t think was possible.

Fallout Season 2’s New Vegas Locations Look Spot-On Compared To The Video Game
Fallout Has Nailed Everything About New Vegas, From Novac To The Lucky 38
Now,Reddit user SolidPyramidhas shared some behind-the-scenes images ofFalloutseason 2’s sets, and they’re incredibly similar to the locations inFallout: New Vegas. The pictures showFalloutseason 2’s live-action recreations of places like Novac (complete with the giant dinosaur), the New Vegas and Strip signs, the exteriors and interiors of casinos like The Tops and the Gomorrah, and more.Every location thatFalloutseason 2 has recreated looks almost identical to their video game counterparts, and it looks like the show is going to perfectly evoke the same feelings asNew Vegasdid.
Some aspects of New Vegas may not look tremendous in live-action, like the images of the Gomorrah, for example. Luckily, it’s likely that the taller buildings will be added into the footage via CGI. The producers ofFalloutaren’t going to construct an entire skyscraper just for an exterior shot, after all.The sheer attention to detail on display inFalloutseason 2’s locations indicates that they wouldn’t be satisfied with how the Gomorrah and the Lucky 38 currently look. These pictures are already a great start, but I can’t wait to see the finished product.

The New Vegas Setting Makes Fallout Season 2’s 2025 Release More Impressive
Fallout Season 2 Put Years' Worth Of Detail & Care Into New Vegas In Just Over A Year
It’s clear that the creators ofFalloutseason 2 have put intense attention to detail in recreating the city of New Vegas. It’s impressive on its own, but it’s even more impressive considering the show’s production timeline.Falloutseason 1 ended in April 2024, and season 2 is expected to be released in December 2025. In less than two years, the creators ofFallouthave gone to staggering lengths to get every meticulous detail of New Vegas right and accurate to the game, and the series is still going to be ready more quickly than other streaming shows likeStranger ThingsorWednesday.
What Fallout’s New Vegas Setting Means For Season 2
It Looks Like Either New Vegas Wasn’t Actually Destroyed, Or We’ll Be Seeing Flashbacks Of Someone’s Time There
The new images ofFalloutseason 2’s recreation of New Vegas also have some major implications for the show’s plot. At theend ofFalloutseason 1, it looked like New Vegas had been destroyed in the years between the show and the game intheFallouttimeline. These behind-the-scenes images, however, prove thatFalloutseason 2 is going to at least partially show New Vegas before it was apparently destroyed. The lights on the signs, for example, are still powered, and the buildings are all still standing, which is a big change from the decrepit skyline seen in the season 1 finale.
The two most plausible waysFalloutseason 2 could show an intact New Vegas are through flashbacks or by saying that the city wasn’t actually destroyed. We could see a previous interaction between Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan) and Mr. House, which would explain why he fled to New Vegas after his confrontation with Moldaver and Lucy. Alternatively,Falloutseason 2 could show that New Vegas is just a bit worse for wear, and that the skyline we saw wasn’t actually representative of how much damage the city took. Either way, I simply can’t wait to see New Vegas inFalloutseason 2.
