My Hero Academia388 is a highly anticipated chapter as the previous one was an incredibly intense one where Horikoshi dove deep into the Himura Clan as wellas the Todoroki Family. It goes without saying that this plotline is going to come to an end in the Final War arc ofMy Hero Academiaand by the looks of it, the author is steadily building towards it.

While the previous chapter ofMy Hero Academiafocused on the awakening of the Ice Quirk that was latentwithin the body of Toya, the next chapter is going to carry over from there and likely bring the Todoroki family plotline even closer to its conclusion.
Rei Steps In
Towards the end of the last chapter, fans saw that Endeavor decided to take his son, Toya up into the sky as he was about to self-destruct. While he could not save his son, his next best option was to protect everyone from this explosion and, thus, the only solution that he could move forward with was to take his son up in the air. However, he could not let his Touya die alone and, as such, he decided to die along with him. Taking him up in the sky and propelling himself forward even faster using his son’s powers,Endeavor was all set to die, however, soon after, fans saw Rei, Endeavor’s wife and Toya’s mom, appear out of nowhere.
It appears that she is going to play a role here as well and that certainly makes sense, given that she was involved in traumatizing Toya as well. While Endeavor was the main culprit, Rei is also considered by Touya to be complicit in the act and that means she is certainly going to play a role here in the arc. The most likely way to move forward would be for Endeavor to hold his son as tightly as possible, likely even burning himself in the process and for Rei to freeze him and make sure that the burning core within his body that is currently compressing freezes as well.

This is also where Shoto comes in. Fans know that he’s currently headed towards the location where Endeavor and Toya are engaging in combat and, given that he isa key member of the Todoroki Family, and their future, along with being one of the main characters in the story, he’s certainly going to be involved here. Fans should expect some focus to be thrown on Shoto Todoroki inMy Hero Academiachapter 388 and this will likely end with him being involved and helping his mother and father in an attempt to save Toya and, eventually, set things right.
Shoto has already fought against Dabi once and he is going to do it again if he needs to. However, fighting will not save the life of Dabi at this point. Surely, Shoto will realize that in My Hero Academia chapter 388, if the two ought to meet. The focus should now be on trying to get Toya to cool down and for his body to be kept from exploding. It goes without saying that the Todoroki Family plotline is going to come to an end very soon andMy Hero Academiachapter 388 could be the beginning of that.
All Might Vs All For One
The last chapter of My Hero Academia did not throw any focus on the fight between All For One and All Might. This was rather disappointing as fans expected the fight between the two to continue. However,My Hero Academiachapter 388 might very well see this fight begin. Previously, fans saw All Might jump in the path of All For One with a briefcase in his hand. All For One was more than excited to see his former rival once again and he more than likely intends to kill him here, once and for all.
Meanwhile, All Might is prepared and he looks like he’s ready to face All For One with all his might. While most expect him to be decimated in the battle, as logic would dictate, fans might be pleasantly surprised by All Might in this fight, especially if he has new Hero Equipment or a new costume with him.
This clash is one that will settle the conflict between All For One and All Might once and for all and it could also see the latter change his destiny. As has been indicated in the story already, All Might is expected to die a gruesome death, and even Sir Nighteye foresaw this. All Might will surely be looking to change his destiny with his own hands. All Might wants to be a Hero even though he does not have Quirk and he will do everything to succeed in that task.
