For starters, with the reveal thatBlackbeard is Rocks’ son, Buggy also being his son could create a great parallel between them as one tries to embody the worst parts of Rocks’ legacy while the other embodies the best, and that could be a great source of conflict for the final saga.
More importantly, Buggy’s biggest gimmick has always been how he succeeds from people making him out to be greater than he is, so if people thought that Buggy was destined to become the Pirate King because he’s the son of the world’s most infamous pirate, on top of everything else he’s been credited with, it would be the ultimate culmination of that joke.
