ScreenRant: Hermione, I have to say, the moment that Julia time travels, I felt so sad because I just imagine Claire thinking her parents just died for all these years and really she’s there, but also in a different time period. Do you ever think about, “What would Julia say to Claire if she could?”
Hermione Corfield:I actually have thought about it a lot because the emotions of the separation, I think, we’re exploring more and more now.

I always feel like Julia’s a ghost. For Claire, she’s almost a ghost because she thinks she’s dead. But she’s obviously always present, just in a different time period. But I always think she’d just say, “I love you.”
What Hermione Corfield’s Comment Means For Her Outlander: Blood Of My Blood Character
Julia’s Love For Her Daughter Will be A Major Driving Point
The most significant surprise ofOutlander: Blood of My Blood, leading up to the series’ August 03, 2025, premiere, is that Claire’s parents, Julia and Henry, didn’t die when their daughter thought they had. The centralOutlanderseries revealed back in its first season that this couple had perished in a car crash, but the new spinoff series has already challenged this idea.
Instead, the trailer forOutlander: Blood of My Bloodrevealed that Henry and Julia Beauchamp time-traveled. This is a tragic revelation, since it means that Claire’s parents could still have been alive in Scotland during the events ofOutlanderseason 1 and beyond. As of theend ofOutlanderseason 7, however,Claire knows nothing of any of this, and this has intriguing implications forBlood of My Blood.
Being separated from her daughter would surely have been terrible for Julia, and this is even worse when considering that she will likely never be reunited with Claire in Outlander: Blood of My Blood.
Being separated from her daughter would surely have been terrible for Julia, and this is even worse when considering that she will likely never be reunited with Claire inOutlander: Blood of My Blood. Corfield’s short but sweet comment regardingwhat Julia would say to Claire if she could demonstrates the sort of emotion she has brought to the role.
Our Take On Hermione Corfield’s Outlander: Blood Of My Blood Comments
Outlander: Blood Of My Blood May Be Even More Emotional Than Outlander
If the big reveal that Henry and Julia time-traveled is any indication,Outlander: Blood of My Bloodwill be full of big surprisesthat change our perspective on the central series. Claire’s parents' adventures through time are guaranteed to set the stage for her own future story, and this should mean a rather emotional watch.Corfield’s comments solidify this sentiment.
Outlander: Blood of My Bloodwill have a two-episode premiere on July 15, 2025, with new episodes releasing weekly thereafter.
Claire didn’t know her parents well inOutlander, which means we, the audience, don’t know them much either. Getting familiar with these characters inOutlander: Blood of My Bloodwill be bittersweet, since we are sure to see just how much they wanted to be with their daughter.
Though we know they likely won’t get their wish, the Beauchamps' love for Claire will remain the backbone of the spinoff series.
