Without a doubt, one ofthe biggest gaming events of October 2018is the return ofOverwatch’s annual fall celebration, Halloween Terror, as the team-based shooter commemorates the scariest time of the year with seasonal-themed items and the PvE mode Junkenstein’s Revenge. Now, Blizzard has decided to continue unveiling the cosmetics it intends to bring to the game to observe the event, with the studio adding a spider-themed Widowmaker skin.
As seen in the video below,Overwatchfans can get their first look at Widowmaker’s Halloween Terror 2018 skin, with Blizzard having tweaked her original look a bit by adding darker colors and spiderwebs on the character’s weapon and garb. While it’s safe to presume that some may not enjoy the skin’s design scheme, many will likely rejoice simply for the fact that the developer has finally given Widowmaker her own Halloween outfit.
For those unaware, Widowmaker isn’t the first to have her Halloween Terror 2018 costume unveiled, as Blizzard has already shown off a couple of cosmetics for two of its heroes who are relatively new to the cast of characters. Not too long ago, the company debutedDoomfist’s Halloween skin, and the very next day it decided to provide players with a look at what kind of costume Moira will have for the event.
Taking all of this into consideration, there’s a good chance that we will continue to see Blizzard revealing the new skins coming toOverwatchup through the game’s Halloween Terror 2018 celebration, as there’s roughly four days left until the event goes live. And with Widowmaker and two of the title’s newest heroes having gotten their own seasonal cosmetics this year, it will be interesting to see if other newbies such as Brigitte and Wrecking Ball get the same treatment, too.
Overwatchis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
