Thanks to games likeLeague of Legends,MOBAs are becoming much more popularand easier to play. Because of that, more and more games are coming out in the genre, allowing more players to enjoy these types of games. They are great because they feature a whole rosterof diverse characters, each with their own play style, so players can experiment and get better with any of them. Plus, most are constantly being updated, with new balances, new characters, and a bunch of other things to add life to these games.

Paragon: The Overprimeplays a lot likeLeague of Legends, but has its own flair that makes itstand out. However, the one element that both games share is that they’re both lane pushers. Each character is designed to play in 4 or 5 different lanes. Some need two players, while others may only need one. The one-player lanes are called Solo lanes. These characters can hold their own; however, many of the characters in this lane benefit from having a teammate helping. Most solo laners are great, but just like the other classes, not everyone is equal. These are the best solo lane characters inParagon: The Overprime.

paragon the countess

5Countess

Countess is a great character for seasoned players who understand the meta ofParagon: The Overprimel. Most of her attacks are melee based, and while she does have ranged abilities, players still need the enemy to be in proximity to her. Her abilities, however, are perfect at messing up the enemy’s advance. The Countess’s Shadow Ripple can slow down opponents, and deal magical damage.

So if there’s another hero with the Countess, they can combo each other and defeat the enemy player. Her Spin Slash is great for breathing room because it does two things: down enemy T-Ons and keep them at bay, and also draw health from targets. Players need to take time to learn her meta, but just likethe hardest heroesinLeague of Legends, she gets rewarding once players have mastered her play style.

4Aurora

Aurora is an interesting character but has a somewhat steep learning curve. With decent health, high magical attacks, and moderately high physical attacks, players can be dynamic with her. Her Frozen Trail attack can stop an opponent from retreating or moving up, allowing a teammate to help and fight. Most of her attacks and play style are centered around slowing the enemy and having a higher-attack teammate finish the job. Her Glacier Explosion highlights that. This attack slows the enemy for 2 seconds, explodes, and slows and stuns enemies if they are near her target. This makes it a great counterattack.

Plus, if enemies are grouped in together, Aurora can attack with a Glacier Barrier, rooting enemies and making them vulnerable for a few seconds, which allows the team to push them back. While she’s great for offensive and defensive play styles, she can be hit and downed very easily. Running with a second solo lane hero is great when playing Aurora.

3Serath

Seraths is a fun character to play, since most of her play style is physical attacks, and she can take a beating before being taken down. Serath’s attacks are best with they are timed. She’s fun to use in part because she shares the same type of rewarding play style as her manyLeague of Legendscounterparts. Like them, she’s prettyeasy to use, and helps new players jump into the game.

Since Serath can take a good beating, she can go right up to an enemy and use her Angel Wingbeat. This ability which and damages the enemy, so it can negate their attack as well. She also has great AOE abilities with her Summoned Angel of Balance, a fire effect attack that damages any enemy near her. If Serath is alone, she’s great, but this attack allows teammates to help amplify her attacks, allowing the lane to be team wiped quickly.

2Feng Mao

Feng Mao is probably one of the lesser-used heroes inParagon: The Overprime, but when players consistently use his abilities, there’s a lot he can do. Just like Tracer inOverwatch 2,Feng Mao canteleport and throw his enemies off. But unlike Tracer, Feng Mao can take a massive chunk of health out of the enemy. This allows players to fight more aggressively. Once they upgrade their teleport attack, Great Leap, its cooldown becomes shorter.

While Feng Mao can take a lot of hits due to his high health, he can deflect attacks as well, making him very useful to have on the field. Most of his attacks are physical-based attacks, so he won’t have many status effects, but he makes up for that by slowing the enemy and pushing them back. Also, Feng Mao can easily get behind enemy lines with his abilities.

1Severog

Severog is a hard hero to learn, but once players master his abilities, he can be fun and rewarding. At the start, he won’t do much damage, but is players keep buying attacks and upgrades, by mid-game he becomes a threat to the enemy team. His abilities are set aroundmaking him stronger, by downing enemy T-ons or players. Plus, like many ofthe tank heroesin other MOBAs,he can help push the enemy back.

His Deadly Declaration attack, which makes the enemy airborne causing them to go back, makes him an asset for the front line of a solo lane. This attack can push and pull enemies off a point. On top of that, his Hollow Breath attack is great. Even if he’s alone he can slow down the enemy, use his hammer, and still deal devastating damage. So while he’s a somewhat harder hero to learn, Severog becomes fun as players spend more time with him.
