For a limited time,Pokémon GOis debuting a new Max Battle against Dynamax Entei, the Legendary Fire-type from the Johto region. While only available for a weekend, this version of Entei is a Five-Star boss you may challenge multiple times to add to your roster. With allies at your side, you can pick the right counters for Entei and fulfill different roles to almost guarantee victory every time.
Entei’s Max Battle Weekendstarts on April 26 at 6:00 AM and ends on June 22, 2025, at 9:00 PMlocal time. Like allMax Battles inPokémon GO, you have to find a Power Spot to challenge Entei with at least three other trainers. Only Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon are allowed to participate in a Max Battle, so make sure you have at least one first.

Gigantamax Blastoise is extremely sturdy alongside Dynamax Blissey, giving your team a bulky defense to resist incoming Fire-type attacks. With Dynamax Excadrill providing more super-effective damage beyond Water-type moves, you should have no trouble taking down Dynamax Entei in short order before the Max Battle Weekendevent inPokémon GOends.
