ThePokémon Trading Card Gameis continuing to release more exclusive Premium Collections, with the latest one featuring Blaziken ex and Volcanion ex. The previously announced Venusaur ex & Blastoise ex Premium Collectionwas a GameStop exclusive, with this latest Premium Collection coming to Amazon instead. While there are some similarities between the two products, there also seem to be some distinct differences. If you’re trying to decide whether to purchase the Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection, you’ll want to know what comes with it and how it stacks up to similar releases.
It’s also important to recognize that these new Premium Collections likely won’t be as highly sought-after as theBlooming Waters one from earlier this year. The main difference is thatthe Blooming Waters Premium Collection came with packs ofPokémon TCG:Scarlet & Violet - 151, whereas these newer collections seemingly won’t include such valuable packs, or at least aren’t saying if they do. On the upside, this means that you may actually be able to get your hands on a copy of the Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection without having to compete with scalpers.

Everything In The Blaziken Ex & Volcanion Ex Premium Collection
The Collection Includes Blaziken Ex And Volcanion Ex Reprints And Some Booster Packs
It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that theBlaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection comes with a copy of both cards named on the box. As for which versions, these are reprints of the pair from theJourney Togetherset from March of this year. Unlike the GameStop exclusive Venusaur ex & Blastoise ex Premium Collection, these don’t have a special set logo stamp on them. They are just the same cards you could find in the main set, without any sort of special treatment. You also get an oversized version of Blaziken ex.
As of now, details on theAmazonlisting just say thatthe collection also comes with 10 booster packs. Which 10 packs this comes with isn’t specified, but if the picture of the product is accurate, it looks like an even split betweenJourney Togetherand theTeam-Rocket-themedDestined Rivalsset. That said, it’s probably worth paying attention to the product details on the listing as we get closer to release to see if this is ever confirmed or not.

So farthere is no price listed for the Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection. This is the same situation for GameStop’s exclusive Premium Collection, so it will be hard to say if either is really a good deal until we have a price tag. That said, Amazon’s Premium Collection is inherently less exciting because it doesn’t include anything you couldn’t get somewhere else, except perhaps the oversized Blaziken ex.
When The Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection Releases
The Blaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection Releases On August 12, 2025
According toPokéBeach, theBlaziken ex & Volcanion ex Premium Collection will be released on July 21, 2025. The Amazon listing itself doesn’t specify, so it’s hard to say what time exactly the product will be made available to order on that day. That said, with packs ofDestined RivalsandJourney Togetherbeing more readily available than otherPokémon TCGsets, I’m guessing it won’t be a mad dash to grab these Premium Collections.
To be honest, thisPokémon TCGPremium Collection feels a bit strange to me. Blastoise and Venusaur are both original starter Pokémon, so I understand why they would be packaged together. Meanwhile, Blaziken and Volcanion aren’t in the same generation, they aren’t even both starters, and neither is wildly popular. If you want two random fire-type Pokémon and some boosters, then I suppose this product is for you. Otherwise, unless the boosters are somehow discounted in this collection, it might be a product that you can skip.
