A terrifying reveal may be incoming forPokémon Legends: Z-A, according to a new social media post. In recent days, official Pokémon social media channels have done an excellent job promoting their streams and video reveals - remember theDJ Pikachu ahead of Pokémon Presents? This one takes on a decidedly darker tone, though, with horror-movie visuals and a serious warning for the unprepared.
Shared this morning by the officialPokémonX (formerly Twitter) account, the teaser features a lab-coated hand reaching out for a rusty fence at night. A dark, possibly abandoned building lies silent on the other side. The post is captioned “Viewer discretion advised,” suggestingsomething scary will be revealed during an upcoming YouTube Premiere- scheduled for 6 AM PDT on August 21.

Pokémon Is Teasing Something Big For Legends: Z-A
What The Teaser Could Mean
Whatever this latest teaser could suggest,it almost certainly hints at something big coming toPokémon Legends: Z-A(based on theLegends Z-Ahashtag, naturally).
Some players seemed to theorizeit was connected to an earlier image posted by The Pokémon Companythat depicted a fisheye lens view of a creepy, abandoned hallway, its floor littered with purple splotches. If you look closely, the fence in this image has some similar stains.

It certainly has similar vibes: both images suggest a kind of paranormal investigation structure for the new video. That meansit’s almost certainly revealing something about a Ghost-type Pokémon, or at least something with a ghostly slant to it.
Admittedly, between the found-footage horror movie aesthetic and the purple paint splatters,it’s impossible for me not to think of Gengar. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the big reveal had something to do with everyone’s favorite Ghost-Poison type, maybesome kind of Rogue Mega Gengar, or something else entirely.

It could even bean original PokémonforLegends Z-A, but since we haven’t seen anything else from the big reveal at this early stage, it’s impossible to say with any kind of certainty.
