For many,Pokemonwas an entry point into the world of gaming and a franchise that, regardless, carries a lot of nostalgia. Everything from collecting all the games to gettingtattoos of beloved Pokemonis common within the community, and there’s really no limit to how these creatures can be adapted into the real world. Now, The Pokemon Companyhas unveiled some new ottoman furniture based on the franchise’s Pokeballs.

Pokemon plush merchandiseisn’t anything new, as toys can be found at Build-a-Bears and more, but furniture isn’t exactly new either. There’s a Ditto bead chair, for example, which is also pictured below with the new Premier Ball and Great Ball ottomans. Combined altogether, it looks like a comfortable set-up (although there’s no real well to tell).

The Premier Ball and Great Ball ottomans are filled with beads as well, complete with removable, washable covers. Each ottoman retails at 9,990 Yen, which translates to roughly $95. As of this writing, this furniture is only available inJapan at the Pokemon Centerthere.

There’s a chance thesePokemonottomans come stateside some time in 2021, or interested parties may also want to look into secondary sellers who purchase Japan-exclusive material and re-sell worldwide. Not counting the necessary shipping costs, those who take this method to get these sooner should note that it’s likely to be above the standard retail cost.

Whether shopping for adults or children, this also seems like it would be a great gift even though the holiday season is winding down. Other items have come from Japan fit that category too, like theDynamax Band, but once again, getting hands on items exclusive to Japan is a lot easier said than done.
