Pokemonfans have eagerly been awaiting an announcement for the nextPokemongames on Switch, which were recently confirmed to bePokemon Let’s Go PikachuandLet’s Go Eevee.While that news is sufficient enough to excite any longstanding fans of the role-playing franchise, another new game was also revealed -Pokemon Quest,which appears to be designed for trainers of all ages.

Pokemon Questwas revealed during a press conference in Tokyo and in a series of tweets by the officialPokemonTwitter account, and the game focuses on the core mechanics, albeit in a slightly different manner, as previousPokemoninstallments. It revolves around battling wild Pokemon, gathering treasure, and befriending new Pokemon, butPokemon Questdoes give the old formula a new twist.

Taking place on the mysterious Tumblecube island, the game features all of the original Kanto Pokemon but with a new boxy appearance. It was previously rumored thatPokemonon the Switch would focus on Kanto Pokemon, which appears to be true as well. Check out the series of reveal tweets forPokemon Questright here:

Pokemon Questis available now for the Nintendo Switch and set to launch on mobile devices in June.Pokemon Questis a free-to-start game, so players can at least see what it has to offer before spending any cash on it.

WhilePokemon Questmay be overshadowed byPokemon Let’s Go Pikachu,Let’s Go Eevee,the core RPG set to release in June 2019, andPokemon GO, it may prove to be a great intro for younger Pokemon fans. Check out the official trailer here:
