With every Pokémon generation, the company releases several accompanyingTCGsets, and this generation was no different. There have been 16 sets released into the card game sincePokémon Scarlet & Violetwere released in 2022.
Now that theS&Vera is coming to an end, it also means the end of the accompanying sets. To mark thisReddit userDazziset out to find out which of this season’s sets is theTCGcommunity’s all-time favorite. Over the course of 16 days, Dazzi uploaded one post per day asking players to vote out their least favorite sets from the series.
Now, after over a dozen days of voting, the final results are in, andfans have chosenPokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet 151as their favorite set of theS&Vcollection.

The Classic Set Contained All Original Gen-1 Pokémon
Although Dazzi hasn’t posted an official result, the last day’s poll results are loud and clear: At the time of this writing,62.67% of those polled chose to vote outDestined Rivals(the other runner-up), compared to 37.33% who wanted to vote out151.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violetintroduced the ninth generation of the beloved franchise, featuring all-new Pokémon to discover and capture. The Reddit polls reveal, though, thatthe classic 151 gen-1 Pokémon are still the community’s favorite,even after nearly 30 years.
The151set was released in 2023 and contained 210 cards in total, and included all 151 of the original Kanto region Pokémon. The expansionupdated the cards to featureS&Vmechanics and style upgrades, like a reworked format and border, powerful ex Pokémon, and several new trainer cards.
It also includedsome of the most beautiful illustrations, with connected evolution line artworks that told the Pokémons' story over the course of their evolution and growth. The end result was anostalgic set with a modern twistthat remains players' favorite from this generation to this day.

The First Set Voted Out Is Telling
Although151is the winning set from this series of polls, some of the other results are interesting to note.
The runners-up to the top spot werethe May 2025 setDestined Rivalsand the July 2025Black Boltsets, which have risen to the top despite being so recent. On the other hand, the first set to be voted out on the very first day as theleast favorite expansion in theS&Vis, perhaps surprisingly,Prismatic Evolutions.
The setsparked a huge uproar in the communityupon its release. It garnered mainstream appeal, which led to scalpers, shortages, andgenerally poorbehavior from many people. This negativity may have caused fans' strong dislike of the expansion, rather than anything wrong with the cards themselves.
It’s also worth noting that these Reddit polls haven’t pulled huge numbers, and the sample size is fairly small. That said, the results still provide a general idea of howPokémon Trading Card Gamefans feel toward theScarlet & Violetsets. In the end, it seems, nostalgia wins again.
