There’s a new potential Mega Evolution inPokémon Legends: Z-Athat may become the darkest evolution in the entire franchise, and that’s largely attributed to how creepy the original Pokémon already is.The next core game in the series will take you to Lumiose City in the Kalos region, originally introduced in the Generation 5 games,Pokémon X and Y. Nintendo will present an open-world approach to the city, much like the open-world areas inLegends: Arceus. Because it’s focused on Lumiose City, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able totravel between towns inPokémon Legends: Z-A.

This is a major change to the franchise’s formula, which often allows you to move around various areas, but it’s only one of them. In fact, there will be severalbattle changes inPokémon Legends: Z-A. One of the most notable ones is the absence of moves’ PP.Now, Pokémon’s moves will have cooldown times and can be used indefinitely. Additionally, you’ll be able to move your Pokémon around the arena to avoid opponents’ moves. Overall, the game will retain elements of turn-based combat, but with much more focus on real-time action.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Leaks Mention Froslass Has A Mega Evolution

Among 21 Leaked New Mega Evolutions, The Rumored Ghost-Type Stands Out

While Nintendo has yet to officially present any new Pokémon or Mega Evolutions planned for the upcoming game, there have been several leaks about what is to come. I expect that not too manynew Pokémon will be available inLegends: Z-A, as this game is still technically a part of Gen 9 and not a kickoff for Gen 10 titles. However, the title could present several new Mega Evolutions since this is a core mechanic to the game and a constant feature in the Kalos region.

The leaks aboutnew Mega Evolutions inPokémon Legends: Z-Amention that there will be 21 new forms for players to use, in addition to several other previously existing Mega Evolutions. Among these new forms is a mention of Mega Froslass, which may make its debut in the game. While the details about its design, abilities, and more are still unknown,I believe that Mega Froslass has the potential to become the darkest evolution in the entire franchise, which already has several creepy Pokémon.

Mega Froslass In Pokémon Legends: Z-A Can Get Even Creepier Than Before

Mega Evolutions Pokédex Entries Often Describe Corporal Mutilations

I believe that a prospective Mega Froslass has the potential to become the creepiest Pokémon in the series because of how scary the regular creature is. According to several Pokédex entries for Froslass, which have been registered byBulbapedia, the creature is said to be the reincarnation of a woman who got lost in the mountains and died bearing a grudge. Furthermore, it’s said that Froslass searches for frozen souls to eat, often luring people and Pokémon into its den and turning them into decorations.

According to several Pokédex entries, Froslass has an obsession with cursing misbehaving and handsome men.

Alone, Froslass is already a frightening creature, but that could get worse because ofhow cruel Mega Evolutions are inPokémon. Several Mega Evolutions’ Pokédex entries mention how the power of the transformation mutilates the creature. Froslass’ evolutionary counterpart, Glalie, for example, has its jaw broken when undergoing Mega Evolution. Something even more terrifying could happen with the leaked Mega Froslass inPokémon Legends: Z-A, only adding to its already spine-chilling Pokédex entries, and I can’t help but admit I’m looking forward to seeing one of my favorite Ghost-type Pokémon getting even more harrowing.
