Rainbow Six Siege’s Outbreak co-op event is due to begin soon and thus, the last few days have seen Ubisoft release a load of new information about the event (including a new teaser trailer) to increase player anticipation.

The new trailer, entitled “Ash’s Briefing,” is a 1:30 CGI clip that furthers the backstory of the upcoming event. The full reveal of the upcoming event is due to take place between February 18th and 19th, during Ubisoft’s 2018 Six Invitational – an eSports event that pits the greatestRainbow Six Siegeteams against one another to determine the best. The event will be streamed live on the Rainbow Six Twitch channel.

Although it may seem a bit odd to add monsters to a game that was initially focused on simulating tactical operations during terrorist situations, the Outbreak event does seem as if it will introduce an interesting dynamic to the game. If nothing else, it could entice players that were not initially interested on the game’s concept but are fans of cooperative zombie killing.
