Stuff Your Kindle Day Was Started In 2014 By Author Zoe York

Stuff Your Kindle Days Are Great Marketing Tools

Indie romance author Zoe York hosted the first Stuff Your Kindle event in December 2014. That year, 35 indie authors made 60 of their books free to purchase to thank readers for their support while hoping that a few new readers would discover their stories, too. The number of free books and participating authors has grown exponentially since that first year, proving the event’s worth as a marketing and community engagement tool.

The idea has ballooned into an annual free book bonanza, with other author circles and genres hosting different versions of the same event. More recently, York launchedthe Stuff Your Kindle website, which offers updates on upcoming events and resources for authors on how to join in on the fun. If you’re looking for a new favoriteromanceread, you might just find it for free on June 20.
