Carpenter announced via social media thather seventh studio album will be out on August 29th.The singer shared two photos, one of her kneeling on the floor with her hair being pulled by another person and the second of a dog’s collar.
The collar has the album title written on it, andsuggests her recent music video was an Easter egg.Sabrina Carpenter recently appeared in paparazzi photos carrying a new puppy with her, and that same puppy then made an appearance in her “Manchild” music video. Little did fans know the appearance of her new pet was hinting at a new era for the pop star.

It also shares similar ’80s synth pop and country production to someShort n' Sweetsongs. However, it’s now obvious that Carpenter had a secret plan up her sleeve. According to Spotify, “Manchild” is track one onMan’s Best Friend. It’s certainly the first hint as to what the album will sound like.

Sabrina Carpenter is still soaking up the success of “Manchild.” The song is currently going viral on TikTok and isexpected to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. However, it seems she already has her next steps planned. No other singles have been officially announced, but fans noticed something odd on her “Manchild” vinyls. According to a video shared on Twitter/X bySCdailyupdates, the B-side of the vinyl plays instrumental music,reminiscent of a ’70s ABBA song, before Carpenter sings one lyric and then the song cuts off.
It’s incredibly difficult to make out what Carpenter says, but the melody is intriguing. Also, according to Spotify,there are twelve tracks on the album, so one is bound to be the next single. As for a potential tour, Carpenter still hasShort n' SweetTour dates lined up throughout November 2025. It’s unclear if she will include her new album on the tour, like how Taylor Swift addedThe Tortured Poets Departmentto the Eras Tour, or if she has another tour planned.
