Shin Megami Tensei 5is the latest mainline entry in the long-running franchise after several spin-offs and iterations. The story of the game went back to the classicShin Megami Tenseifaction based storyline, where players could choose between Chaos and Order. Some fans have even cited it as one ofthe best JRPGs of 2021, due to its difficulty curve, engaging Press Turn combat system, music, and variety of demons available to battle and negotiate with.

As a result,Shin Megami Tensei 5saw healthy sales last year, selling over 800,000 copies worldwide. It was even stated during a meeting with Sega’s shareholders that Sega was satisfied with the marketing and sales status of the game. While good news for fans, Sega also stated that it wishes to give some of its brands more worldwide recognition and expand its franchises.
