To callSolo Levelinga massive success is an understatement. The hit manhwa-turned-anime was a sensation, drawing in viewers from across the globe thanks to its simple premise, solid animation, and one of the most beloved main characters in the art form. The first season was incredible, giving Sung Jinwoo his debut and introducing everyone to the world of Gates, Hunters, and the one character who could get stronger.

The second season took everything the first did a step forward, highlighting the best parts of the series. Sung Jinwoo faced unbelievable threats during the second season, and with the third coming (relatively) soon, he’ll have to get even stronger. The enemies Jinwoo will face in the third season make the enemies he faced in the second look like child’s play.Thankfully, Jinwoo has what it takes to level up and dominate even bigger opponents on an even larger scale.

Solo Leveling Is a Once-In-A-Generation Hit

There Aren’t Many Series like It

Nobody could have predicted just how successfulSolo Levelingwas going to be. The manwha that the series is based on is already a hit, but the anime took the series' triumphs to an entirely different level.Solo Levelingis trulya once-in-a-generation hit, and it hit the ground running.

The first season ofSolo Levelingwas massive, and in the grand scheme of things, it didn’t reveal much. The world ofSolo Levelingis massive, and the first season was only the tip of the iceberg. Even so, Jinwoo’s adventures as the first and only Hunter to get stronger captivated the world in 12 succinct episodes.

The second season had big shoes to fill when looking at the success of its predecessor. While a lot of other anime series would fumble the momentum,Solo Levelingseason 2 added to it. The second season is even better than the first, showing Jinwoo is even bigger battles against scarier enemies while using even cooler powers.

Solo Leveling’s Second Season Was Even Better than the First

The Second Season Was Even Better than the First

Solo Leveling’ssecond season finally showed Sung Jinwoo stepping into the shoes of the new class he got at the end of the first season. He was already strong as a character who could level up, but his ability to add Shadows to an ever-growing army has put him in an entirely different league.

Sung Jinwoo’s entire goal inSolo Levelingwas to find a cure for his mom’s Eternal Slumber Disease. When he went to the Demon Castle, he finally found a solution. It took everything in Sung Jinwoo (and some help from Esil) to take down Baran, the King of Demons.

After killing Baran, Jinwoo was finally able to create the Elixir of Life and save his mom. He was finally able to accomplish his goal that became his singular purpose, but that’s not where the second season ends.

The second season ofSolo Levelingends withthe best arc in the entire franchise: the Jeju Island Arc.There are no better moments inSolo Levelingthan watching Sung Jinwoo head to Jeju Island and save his fellow S-Rank Hunters, his country, and maybe even the world. While the Ant King was a massive threat to Jinwoo, he doesn’t compare in the slightest to what’s coming next.

Kandiaru and the Giants Will Be Massive Threats

The Architect and the Bosses of a Major Dungeon Break

There’s no way to be sure exactly which arcs the third season ofSolo Levelingwill animate, but they’re most likely going to animate what comes after the Jeju Island Arc in the manhwa. One of the first opponents that Jinwoo will face in the third season isKandiaru, the enigmatic being behind the System.

Jinwoo acquired the System early in the first season, and while he has a lot of questions, he hasn’t spent too much time looking into it. He’s been busy trying to save his mom, pay for his sister’s school, and get stronger. Season 3 will show why Jinwoo got the System, who gave it to him, and the mysterious purpose that it serves.

Kandiaru, otherwise known as the Architect, gave Jinwoo the ability to get stronger. He gave Jinwoo the building blocks that he’s used to become one ofthe strongest Hunters in the world, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Kandiaru has Jinwoo’s best intentions in mind.

Kandiaru isn’t the only behemoth that stands in Jinwoo’s way. There is going to be a massive event happening in Japan, and after the end of the second season saw the strongest Japanese Hunters die, Jinwoo will have to save his neighboring country.

Thomas Andre and the Monarchs Are like Nothing Jinwoo Has Faced Before

Even the Ant King Doesn’t Hold a Candle to These New Enemies

Kandiaru and the Giants are going to push Sung Jinwoo to his limits, but nobody will test the Hunter more than Thomas Andre and the Monarchs. There’s no way to know for sure ifSolo Levelingseason 3 will animate the arcs that involve these monstrosities, but if they do, Jinwoo is going to have a tough time on his hands.

Thomas Andre is ranked as the strongest Hunter in the entire world. He’s so strong that he’s moved beyond S-Rank to the National Level, a worthy title for a character whose strength is equivalent to an entire nation. He’s the leader of the Scavenger Guild in the United States, and he’s a character who will stand up for his guild members, even if they’re not necessarily in the right.

While Thomas Andre is certainly a force to be reckoned with, even he’s got nothing on the Monarchs. The Monarchs are some ofthe strongest characters inSolo Leveling, making National Level Hunters look like Jinwoo before he got chosen by the System.

Jinwoo Will Face His Biggest Threats Ever

The third season ofSolo Levelingwill test Jinwoo like he’s never been tested before. Sure, the first and second seasons threw massive threats at him, buteven the Ant King isn’t strong enough to make these season three enemies break a sweat.

Sung Jinwoo will have to find an inner strength that can take on the world’s strongest, and even the strongest foes not from this world. He’ll have to rely onhis incredible Shadow Army, fellow S-Rank Hunters like Cha Hae-In, and more if he’s going to be able to walk away from some of these upcoming brawls.
