The release window forTed Lassoseason 4 has been confirmed. It was reported back in late 2024 thatTed Lassoseason 4was looking to make a comeback on Apple TV+. Although it has taken some months, new episodes of the Emmy-winning sports comedy are now in production, and the returning cast has been confirmed.
Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are set to reprise their respective roles as Rebecca Welton, Keeley Jones, Coach Beard, Roy Kent, and Leslie Higgins. They’ll join star and co-creator Jason Sudeikis, returning as the titular Ted, and the focus will shift to a women’s soccer team.

Channing Dungey, the Chairman and CEO of the Warner Bros. Television Group, which produces the dramedy for Apple TV+, spoke withVarietyabout the production studio’s 60 nominations at the upcoming Emmys. But, when asked about a release window forTed Lassoseason 4, Dungey shared that it will likely be sometime during or after the second quarter in 2026.
Can you believe we are back in production? This was one of those ones where I was like, ‘I don’t know if we were going to get there,’ but we are here now. I’m really excited about the new cast. We don’t have a firm date yet from Apple. We’re talking right now about mid-year next year, so your guess is as good as mine as to what that actually means. But I would say sometime from Q2 forward.

What This Means For Ted Lasso Season 4
In a calendar year, Q2 refers to April, May, and June. If the release window holds, that would mean there would be a gap of almost three years between theTed Lassoseason 3 finaleand season 4. It’s exactly the kind of phenomenon viewers refer to when discussing the long absences between new seasons of television shows.
Taking the example of another Apple TV+ breakout likeSeverance, the long wait for season 2 didn’t diminish popularity. If anything, the sci-thriller has proved more of a hit than ever with season 2. The soccer dramedy is hoping to tap into something similar with the new setup, which will focus on new players for the women’s soccer team that Ted will coach.
