The spy thriller is about a CIA worker who takes matters into his own hands when his supervisors refuse to take action after his wife is killed in a terrorist attack. Malek leads the cast, with a supporting team including Rachel Brosnahan, Jon Bernthal, Laurence Fishburne, Evan Milton, and Nick Mills.
The Amateurdid not do as well at the box office, making a total of $96 million worldwide. While a respectable total, the film was made on a budget of $60 million. As such,it likely did not break even on the budget.
