The Accountant 2 Has A Long Way To Make It Into Ben Affleck’s Top 10

Despite crossing another major global box office, the 2025 action thrillerstill needs another $55 million to match the 2016 original movie’s box officeand $93.5 million to surpass the 2010 movie,The Sum of All Fear, to make it onto the actor’s top 10 list. After opening on April 25, the movie is approaching its fifth week in theaters. While it doesn’t look very likely that the movie will be among Affleck’s highest-grossing films, there’s still a chance for the sequel to surpass the original’s box office at the end of its theatrical run.

The Accountant 2opened to $24 million domestically at the box officeduring its opening weekend, which is around the same as the 2016 original. However, the new movie had a significantly larger production budget of $80 million, which nearly doubled the original’s $44 million budget. Despite falling a little short in comparison to the original’s success, the movie is still in the top 20 ofBen Affleck’s catalog.
