According to Marvel’s preview forUncanny X-Men#20:
The two baddest brawlers of the Louisiana X-Men buddy up to go undercover in faraway Argentina… to chase and destroy a legendary X-villain! Two-fisted fury as only WOLVERINE and RANSOM can bring it, and it’s a rough, roaring ride for anyone who gets in their way!
Ransom has all the trappings of someone with staying power in the Marvel Universe, and his developing relationship with Logan could mean he has afuture with the “Snikt” Family, given howRansom’s attitude and powers set him up to have a similar role for the team.

While Ransom has only been around for a short while, the ArgentinianX-Men with a black holefor a heart has made a massive impression. Not many young mutants can claim to go toe-to-toe with Wolverine and walk away, let alone that they can take him down with a punch, but that’s exactly what Ransom did.
Wolverine is accustomed to mentoring up-and-coming X-Men, especially the ones that are rough around the edges. Ransom fits the bill.

It’s little wonder that Logan took a shine to him, and that he’s become one of Wolverine’s kids like Kitty Pryde and Jubilee have been in the past. Wolverine is accustomed to mentoring up-and-coming X-Men, especially the ones that are rough around the edges. Ransom fits the bill. He’s quick to fight and can back up his threats.
That makes him an ideal match for Wolverine, who always seems to gravitate toward mentoring the scrappy newcomers. The two are set to put that bond to the test in an upcoming tag-team adventure inUncanny X-Men#20 andUncanny X-Men#21, which will take them to a comic convention, and land them in a fight, in Ransom’s childhood home of Argentina.
A New Hot-Headed Mutant Badass
Ransomticks all the boxes of a Wolverine. He’s willing to fight, he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, and he’s both protective of and loyal to his team. Even if he never picks up the full mantle, given that Logan already has a successor in Laura Kinney, he’s more than worthy of filling the spot.
Ransom and Logan have already demonstrated that they’ve formed a bond. That will likely strengthen with their upcoming team-up and whatever trouble they’re forced to navigate together.Logan might not have been looking for another kid, but he’s found one. UncannyX-Men’spowerhouse, Ransom, is an ideal candidate for the team’s nextWolverine, and he’s earned that coveted role.
