There are plenty of secrets and hidden areas inTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, which is no surprise given how many the original games included, particularly THPS 3. When it comes to secret areas, nearly every map in the game has some sort of hidden location or secret teleporter that you probably wouldn’t discover unless you know where to look. If you’re just getting started withTHPS 3+4, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these secrets as you explore every map.
Some of the secret areas inTHPS 3will only be unlocked after completing the main goals, such as when you complete the Cruise Ship Stunt Gauntlet or un-jam all the valves in Foundry. However, there are other much more difficult secret areas to access, such as Tokyo’s secret area, which is infamously hard to reach and is the only way you’ll be able to grab the secret Panda Plushie on the map. For THPS 4, there aren’t too many secret areas, but there are plenty of secret teleporters that come in extremely useful.

Secret Areas In THPS 3 Include Foundry, Tokyo, & The Cruise Ship
The hidden and/or secret areas inTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3aren’t too complicated to unlock, aside from Tokyo, which can be challenging if you don’t know what to do. You’ll essentially need to grind the light rail up to the ledges and find a way togrind the Neon Skater sign to knock it off and break a hole in the wall. This is the only way to get the secret Panda Plushie in Tokyo, which is required tounlock Officer Dick, aka Constable Richard.
Aside from Tokyo, the secret areas in THPS 3 aren’t too tricky to access, but you’ll need to know where to look, otherwise they’ll probably slip under your radar. A few of these are unlocked as part of the main park goals, such as completing theStunt Gauntlet on the Cruise Ship, which will unlock a secret wrap-around area at the bow of the ship. Similarly, the very first map, Foundry, has a secret areaunlocked by un-jamming 5 valves around the sides of the map, which opens up the door directly behind the starting area.

Aside from these, you can also reach Bikini Bottomby jumping off the bow of the pirate ship in Skater Island, but it’s a relatively small area that doesn’t lead anywhere except off a cliff. Los Angeles has a secret area underneath the grates on the far side of the map, which you’ll have to grind the rail to open up if you want thesecret Panda Plushieunderneath.

THPS 4 Doesn’t Have Many Secret Areas, But Does Have Many “Secret” Teleporters Worth Finding
Unlike theTHPS 3maps, there aren’t very many secret areas in theTHPS 4maps, but there areplenty of very useful hidden teleportersin maps that do not have secret areas. I’ve listed these here as a helpful resource, though I wouldn’t technically consider them “secret areas” per se. That doesn’t mean there aren’tanysecret areas in theTHPS 4maps, however. In fact, one of my favorite secret areas is found on a new map that wasn’t part of the originalTHPS 4, the Movie Set.
There’s a secret area underneath the Movie Setthat you can access by entering the green glowing sewer behind the starting location. When you jump in for the first time, I highly recommend yelling “Cowabunga” to give it the full effect, and once you enter, you’ll be transported to theNinja Turtle’s sewer hideout. It’s an awesome little area that pays homage to the classic Sewers map from the originalTHPS 4while also giving one of the secret skaters, Michelangelo, a place to call home.

The Clock Tower back entrance makes getting the secret tape located high above on a wire much easier to get.
Outside the Movie Set, there aren’t many secret areas in theTHPS 4maps, but there are quite a few hidden teleporters that come in extremely handy in completing the various park goals. In particular, the Clock Tower back entrance makes getting the secret tape located high above on a wire much easier to get. You can technically grind up to it from down below, but the teleporter pops you out right above it.Similarly, to get to the Hidden Deck in London, use the elevator underneath the hotel to make your life easier.

Another tricky location that you’ll need to figure out how to access to complete the Pro Goals is in the Shipyard, whichrequires grinding the rails inside the vents. These can be really frustrating to line up and access, and it may take a few tries to get it down. For the Waterpark and Alcatraz, you’ll be able to access the Arcade and Jailhouse secret areas by completing the main goals.

Movie Set
Turtle Power Sewers
Drop into the green glowing sewer drain behind the starting location to find the Ninja Turtles home away from home.
Alcatraz
Inside the Prison
Knock down all five trash cans to get the keys and free the prisoner.
No secrets or teleporters worth noting in this map.

Shipyard
Vents*
Use the platforms above the shipping container full of trash to transfer over to the vents. This will be required for completing the Pro Goals.
London
Underground Hotel Elevators*
Use the elevators under the hotel to get up tothe Hidden Deck.
Zoo
Monkey Exhibit
Use the open door to the Giraffe enclosure to warp to the monkey exhibit secret area upper level.
Pinball
Birdman Multiball*
Use the Birdman teleporter to activate Multiball and transfer yourself up to the top deck.
*These maps don’t contain “secret areas,” but the teleporters listed here can be somewhat tricky to find if you don’t know about them.

Overall, there are quite a few secret areas inTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4that are well worth accessing, especially in THPS 3, where nearly every map has a hidden secret area. For THPS 4 maps, be sure to check out the Turtle Power Sewers, as it’s one of the best spots in the game, especially if you’re a Ninja Turtles fan.
