Bones is Putting in the Work to Deliver on Kei Urana’s Vision with Gachiakuta’s Anime

From Manga to Anime, Gachiakuta Will Retain Its Unique Art Style

Gachiakuta’sartwork is almost a blend ofDemon SlayerandMy Hero Academia, utilizing a dark, bold outline for objects and characters while also penning dramatic shading through harsh lines that are easy to do in manga but harder to replicate in animation. Bones' Producer stated that the studio aimed to keep the distinctive look faithful to Urana’s work:

“It was really extremely difficult to make this unique art style come to life in anime. We did a lot of tests to see how much of the line art, the background, and how much of the 3D support was needed.

Even now, we get all the design, context, and scenario checks, and we get comments on them. I think that’s how we were able to overcome the challenges.”
