Two originalTrackercast members exit the crime drama ahead of season 3’s release.Trackerseason 3’s releaseis slated for October 19, as Justin Hartley’s titular character, Colter Shaw, continues to take on challenging new cases.

As reported byTVLine,Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who played Bobby and Velma respectively, aren’t returning forTrackerseason 3. Their exits come after Robin Weigert’s. She portrayed Velma’s wife Teddi, who was written out of the show afterTrackerseason 1’s ending, with her disappearance being motivated by Teddi and Velma separating.

Graise and McEnany’s exits leaveTrackerwith only two original cast members who are series regulars – Hartley and Fiona Rene, who plays lawyer Reenie Greene. WhileTrackerseason 2didn’t set up Graise and McEnany’s exits, they aren’t surprising, as Bobby disappeared for several season 2 episodes, and Velma’s role was less prominent.

What Eric Graise & Abby McEnany’s Exits Mean For Tracker

Colter’s Circle Of Friends & Collaborators Becomes Smaller

Teddi’s exit afterTrackerseason 1already made Colter’s team feel much smaller, especially as Velma and Teddi working for Colter together highlighted how he kept his distance. It also left Velma with not much to do. WhileTrackerseason 1 could focus on Velma and Teddi’s home life, season 2 saw Velma set up base in Reenie’s new firm.

Trackerseason 2 struggled to continue Velma’s story thoughtfully without Teddi, and Bobby’s story had the same problem, with him having one foot out the door after the introduction of Randy and the beginning of his collaboration with Colter. Their exits not only decrease the number of charactersTrackeraudiences know and love, but they also have massive consequences story-wise.

Indeed,Trackerseasons 1 and 2 made a point to show Colter working alone, despite him needing Bobby’s tech support and Velma and Teddi to find him jobs. Colter’s aloofness was exceptionally obvious when he refused to meet his team unless a case was involved. Bobby and Velma not being in Colter’s life can make him feel even more alone.

Our Take On The Exits’ Effects On Tracker Season 3

Colter’s Aloofness Risks Becoming Even More Prominent With His Team Shrinking

While it was always evident that Colter’s team felt more like family at times, one not as problematic as Colter’s biological one, Colter was still distant.Trackerhinted more than once at that stemming fromColter’s upbringing and the mystery of his father Ashton’s death, but that didn’t change the fact that Colter seemingly wanted to be closer to them.

Trackerseason 3 premieres on CBS at 8pm ET on Sunday, July 02, 2025.

Every time that feeling presented itself, Colter’s lone wolf instincts kicked in, prompting him to stay away. Graise and McEnany’s exits force Bobby and Velma not to be in Colter’s life anymore, meaning that Colter will have even fewer people around to try and get close to him. This could leave Colter all the more isolated inTrackerseason 3.
