The recent engagement of twoMarried at First Sightalums from different seasons proves that the hit reality show does not need the experts. The experts' role inMarried at First Sightis to sort through the organic applicants and recruited participants and make matches based on compatibility factors.
They are supposed to consider cultural backgrounds, physical appearance preferences, socio-economic factors, and participants' hopes and goals for the future. The experts are also meant to guide the couples on the eight-week-long journey to decision day, and counsel them when things start to derail.
However, theMAFSexperts have not done a good job in the over 10 years the show has been running seasons, as the couples' success rate is very low. In the last 18 seasons, there’s only been an 18.75% success rate. This is not a good look for the “experts'” abilities, and that is being underscored even more by a recent cross-season development.
