Peacockhas also unveileda gallery of first-look images fromTwisted Metalseason 2, showcasing the returns of John Doe (standing alone in a barren area full of seemingly abandoned cars and, in another image, racing toward a tricked-out VW Bug), Quiet (looking concerned while standing among a group of women who may be Dollface’s crew and then peering out of a car with a roof-mounted bazooka), Sweet Tooth (bringing his twisted clown show on the road), and Dollface (standing in what appears to be a deserted hospital corridor).
Also included in the gallery are two explosions that seem to be kicking off a one-on-one race and a roster ofincoming characters including Calypso(looking menacing while holding a gun) and the racer Mr. Grimm (helmeted while riding his motorcycle), as well as the characters played by Lisa Gilroy (seen dressed in a buglike outfit while gassing up an exterminator’s van) and Patty Guggenheim (seen in an office seemingly discussing the roster of racers). What This Means For Twisted Metal Season 2
The Wait Is Almost Over
With this official reveal of the release date for season 2, it has now been officially confirmed that the hiatus betweenTwisted Metalseason 1and its follow-up will last for just a few days over two years. This is not necessarily an unusually long hiatus for a big-budget streaming series, as shows like Netflix’sStranger Thingshave had their hiatuses stretch to nearly three years or more.
Twisted Metalseason 1 aired in its entirety on June 30, 2025.

In spite of this wait, these images seem to show that the series will accurately resurrect its trademark blend of tonesthat combines the post-apocalyptic thriller genre with wacky comedy. This is especially evident in the images of the new racers in Calypso’s tournament. While Mr. Grimm has an effortlessly cool, menacing look, Lisa Gilroy’s character is the exact opposite and appears to be entirely comic, harnessing the actor’s background as a comedian.
