Wednesdayseason 1 was outstanding, and it obviously landed with a broad, widespread audience. While it may seem like a good idea to try and repeat that success by following a similar formula, I’m hoping season 2 throws its fans for a loop. There’s plenty of room for this series to grow, but it runs the risk of redundancy.
So far, I like what I’ve seen from season 2, butmy biggest worry is that the narrative elements feel all too familiar. The show looks bigger and more epic, but scale doesn’t always mean quality. ForWednesdayto maintain momentum, it needs to one-up itself.
