Below Deck Down Understar Johnny Arvanitis was terminated from the crew of Katina in the most recent episode, and while it’s clear that he wasn’t doing the best in his deckhand role, it appears thatthings have changed considerably for Johnny after his time with the franchise. While Johnny wasn’t that issue to begin with, his time spent with bosun Wihan Du Toit wasn’t always positive. The pair were close during the charter season, but things eventually became tense.

AfterJohnny’s firing because of his violent behavior, I think it was clear that Captain Jason needed to take action even if it wasn’t his mistakes or difficulties that caused the issues on board. Johnny punching a wall wasn’t a great look for him orBelow Deckas a whole, but I think if his behavior were to change, he’d be able to come back to the franchise. I don’t thinkBelow Deck Down Underis the right move for Johnny, though. I do think, however,he could find himself successful onBelow Deck Mediterraneanin the future.
