Phasmophobiahas brought some great co-op scares since the game launched in early access back in 2020. After four years of early access,Phasmophobiais set to finally get its complete launch sometime in the near future. Although an official release date isn’t clear yet, the prospect of having a complete version of the ghost hunting game is exciting.

What to Expect in the 1.0 Update
At the moment, there isn’t too much known about the 1.0 update, butPhasmophobia’s roadmap revealed at least a little bit of what is to be expected:

Some of the most intriguing features promised for the 1.0 update are the new ghost models and new interactions.Phasmophobiaboasts some terrifying ghoststo hunt, and it’s exciting to think about how developer Kinetic Games will choose to make the ghosts even more frightening. It’s unclear if the inclusion of new ghost models means completely new ghosts or redesigns of current ghosts. In terms of new interactions, it will be great to get new and unexpected run-ins during hunts that haven’t been experienced in the game before.
Another thrilling feature is the addition of hallucinations. WithPhasmophobiadoing a great job at crafting terrifying imagery with its many ghosts, there’s no telling how scary full-on hallucinations will look. As for the hunt and events overhaul, those seem to be the most mysterious in terms of what they hold. There are already plenty ofgreat scares inPhasmophobia’s early access, but it looks like the game’s 1.0 update is aiming to make the game feel fresh.
Phasmophobia Version 1.0 Release Date
The biggest question the 2024 roadmap raises is when the 1.0 update will officially launch. This roadmap illustrates a series of update phases to expect before the game launches in its complete state.
Phasmophobiajust released its 0.10 update at the end of June, so there is still a bit of a road ahead before players get to see the finished version of the game. At this rate, it is probably safe to assume that 0.11 will arrive sometime in the fall, with 1.0 hopefully launching at the end of the year. However, it’s also possible that the complete version ofPhasmophobiawon’t be released until the beginning of 2025.AsPhasmophobiacontinues to grow, this year’s updates will be prepping players for the full game, and it could possibly reach a larger audience.
There have been severaldelays toPhasmophobia’s console version, and although it has been frustrating for those who wish to play on PlayStation or Xbox, it would be exciting for the console version to be a surprise release when the 1.0 version launches. This may be wishful thinking, but the roadmap did tease “much more” would be arriving with the 1.0 update, and a console release would be a great way to celebrate a complete project.
