Gamers that want to score a deal on select titles are in luck, as it has been discovered thatXboxis hosting some excellent “Just For You” deals to kick off the month of February. While it is not currently known how long these bargains will last, the news fromXboxhas been confirmed across social media by gamers of all kinds around the world.
The news of the deals came just a short time after reports thatMicrosoft would be skipping E3 in 2023, along with Nintendo and Sony. While the news of their absence may yet be another telling blow to the troubled trade expo, Microsoft and other AAA developers have followed Nintendo’s lead within the last few years. In the case of Microsoft, last week’s Developer Direct showcase was just one example of the format that AAA and indie game developers have leaned toward in recent times. Speaking of surprises, according to various Xbox players on social media, the “Just For You” section of the Xbox Store has shown each player varying degrees of discounts on major titles. Ranging from deals such as 90% off onGhost Recon Breakpoint: Gold Editionand up to 88% off specific versions ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, the deals differed as users posted which deals showed up for them on their dashboard. Gamers from different countries noted that each discount was not exactly the same for them even after converting currencies, leading some to believe the discounts were based on their recent purchase history. The sale followed just weeks afterXbox discounted a bunch of games from the Xbox 360 eraon their digital storefront.
While the “Just For You” deals have no timetable for when they’ll expire, most of the games that got the discounts are from Ubisoft’s library. The news of these discounts on Xbox follows a rough January for the AAA studio, asUbisoft stock prices plummeted sharplyto begin 2023.
